:: New Lens Bag ::

I was so excited when I got my new "Snapsac" in the mail yesterday! My new lens bag! Many of you photographers have heard of Shootsac bags- well I found this boutique on Etsy called The Byrd Boutique - she sells her own version of the Shootsac for 1/2 the price! I love the fact that these bags are so flat and comfortable. There are all lots of fun fabrics that you can choose from to customize the covers... Great quality- I'm loving my little snapsac so far- this should make my shooting life MUCH easier! Happy Day!

:: Display It! ::

Don’t leave your photos in a closet (or on a disc) after your session is over. Use some of these inspirational ideas to showcase your photos in your home.

When it comes to displaying photographs and creating wall galleries, I love Room & Board’s simple and clean design ideas. Check out some of their display recommendations past and present. Their advice for picture-perfect displays: “Mounted picture ledges let you lean photo frames and books casually against the wall, while rails provide extra room for adding accent pieces into your display. You don’t need extensive wall space in order to showcase your collections. Blend frames of varying sizes and shapes on a single shelf to lend depth and perspective to an art or photo collection. Let the frames overlap for an organic, mix-and-match look.”

You can also unify your display by using frames of the same color. Have old frames laying around? Try spray painting them BLACK! It really works! Black spray paint is one of my cure alls when it comes to turning things sleek, unified and more modern.

So what about getting all of the frames to line up..or how do you know which display you want? Check out The Perfect Picture Wall they can help! They sell a set of ten picture frames that let you easily create this look with a variety of different configurations of frames. The kit comes with a template that lets you line up everything perfectly before you start hammering away. Kits are available in a variety of finishes and sell for $349.

Do you have favorite gallery inspirations? Or, care to share your own displays? Leave a link in the comments!

I've gathered some display ideas in a slideshow! I absoultly love the first slide. There are some really GREAT ideas... Check it out- hopefully this will motivate you to transform a wall or two in your own home!

:: Float Wraps ::

A Float Wrap is a new, unique option to display images. Float Wraps are similar to Gallery Wraps or Standout mounted prints in that they add dimension by extending out from the wall. Float wraps are unique in that they appear to be floating on the wall with the main focus on the image! Create a modern display with a Float Wrap wall collage that is ready to hang once removed from the box!
Float Wraps are created by wrapping the photographic print or canvas print around masonite to create a thin wrap. The print or canvas is protected with a laminate and padding is added between the print and the masonite to give the front of the Float Wrap a raised, elegant look and feel. The back of the Float Wrap is complete with a black paper backing and a black ¾" thick gatorboard block that allows the Float Wrap to extend out from the wall. The back of the block also contains drilled holes for hanging. Or, if you'd prefer to display your Float Wrap on an easel, you can order your wrap without the gatorboard block.

Order Fine Art Canvas with a Semi-Gloss Laminate or Metallic Canvas with a High Gloss Laminate. Lustre and Metallic Photographic prints are finished with a Matte Laminate. Float Wraps are available in many popular sizes from 8x10 up to 20x30.
