:: Sweet Baby Savannah ::

So my first official newborn studio session took place yesterday (although the studio technically won't open until later this year). It was challenging and fun all in one. Baby's are a tough gig, I tell ya! We spent most of the time with the space heater trying to get her warm so she would fall asleep :). She is such a little doll though, really. I can't believe how tiny she is right now- at just 12 days old. I look at my twins and they are HUGE compared to her! Time really flies fast- I was happy to be able to capture these first few days of Savannah's life. I had so much fun with all of my backdrops and new props! I'd love know what you think~ Here is sweet, sweet baby Savannah...

:: Proud Family ::

This last weekend was busy to say the least! This shoot took place on the families front porch, which provided for a more traditional setting/backdrop. It was a fun challenge to take on photographing such a large group, 15 to be exact!

Nathan, the middle child, will be heading to Afghanistan this next month to fight for our country. May God bless him and his family for their sacrifice & bravery. Here are a few of my favorite images from their session... the first one is so powerful to me, a father who is so proud of his boys - I love this image.

:: New Lens Bag ::

I was so excited when I got my new "Snapsac" in the mail yesterday! My new lens bag! Many of you photographers have heard of Shootsac bags- well I found this boutique on Etsy called The Byrd Boutique - she sells her own version of the Shootsac for 1/2 the price! I love the fact that these bags are so flat and comfortable. There are all lots of fun fabrics that you can choose from to customize the covers... Great quality- I'm loving my little snapsac so far- this should make my shooting life MUCH easier! Happy Day!

:: There's A Baby In There ::

I'm loving my recent maternity sessions. It's such a great time to preserve & capture. A time of anticipation, growth and excitment for the journey ahead with a new life. A brand new adventure is about to begin. This family is expecting their first child, a little girl. Such happiness. We had a great shoot this last weekend,the sun was so friendly to us. Thanks again Hannah for letting me get creative with you, you look amazing :)! Here is to another very long sneak peek. :: Waiting For "Sharky" ::

This family is the definition of cuteness. Momma is so beautiful (and tiny) at 8 months pregnant with another boy on the way. They are referring to him as baby "Sharky" for now ;). I absoultely LOVED this session. As a result, I couldn't pick just a few favorites, I had to keep editing more and more for the sneak peek because I LOVE SO many of them! Big brother should seriously be a children's GAP model. His smile is money. Thanks Margaret for going with the flow and letting me wrap you in my duvet cover and braving the cold water in February..such a great sport! Congratulations to a beautiful family!....AND a special thankyou to the best reflector holder & assistant ever...Laura.
